Maike Dring from Essential Wellbeing, has over 20 years experience in the complementary health care setting.
Maike Dring is qualified to practice Havening Techniques®,The Emmett Technique, The Bowen Technique, Aromatherapy, Swiss Reflex, Indian Head Massage and holds an Advanced Diploma of Health Promotion. Specialized training includes Pregnancy & Baby Massage, Clinical Dietetics and Aromatherapy & Reflexology in Cancer Care.
Maike Dring is one of the first few certified Havening Practitioners in Northern Irleand.
Most of Maike Dring's work is remedial muscular-skeletal work and both The Bowen and Emmett Technique have an excellent record in helping to address pain and discomfort of back pain, RSI, frozen shoulders and sciatica very quickly. In most instances a maximum of three sessions is all that is needed to restore function and resolve pain.

ABTI (Association of Bowen Therapist Ireland).
Members must have accredited training, complete yearly continual professional development (CPD) and agree to a code of practice and ethics, ensuring full client confidentiality.
In addition to working with private clients Maike Dring has given workshops for a number of organizations, such as the Institute for Lifelong Learning at Queen's Belfast, RNIB, Action Cancer and various community groups. Maike has delivered complementary therapies for children with special needs in two special needs schools for over 15 years.
In conjunction with Donard Special Needs School, Maike Dring secured a grant from the Southern Health and Social Care Trust, HPA and CDHN. The grant program entitled "Promoting positive mental health & wellbeing" enabled Maike Dring to develop a skills course for carers/parents as well as offering group Bowen treatments for parents, carers and staff, addressing both physical discomfort and improving mental health.
